Srinath Samudrala MD, FACS
is one of the leading spine surgeons and is recognized nationally and internationally. He currently performs surgery at Glendale Adventist Medical Center's Spine Institute. Prior to beginning his practice in Glendale Dr. Samudrala was the Director of Spinal Surgery for the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Southern California for 10 years. He also was the Co-Director of the Spine Trauma program at LAC+USC Medical Center and performed surgeries at Cedars Sinai Medical Center for 5 years.
Board certified in neurological surgery, Dr. Samudrala is a fellow of the America College of Surgeons and a member of numerous neurological and spinal surgical organizations, including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the Arbeitsgemeinschaft fur Osteosynthesefragen (Association for the Study of Internal Fixation).
Dr. Samudrala has taught at numerous courses in Spinal Surgery and has published extensively over the past 10 years in practice. Dr. Samudrala's primary clinical and research interest is surgical treatment of spinal disorders. A contributor to numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters on spinal trauma and injury, he is also a frequent presenter at conferences and meetings nationally and internationally.
Dr. Samudrala received his bachelors degree from the University of California, Riverside and his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. He completed a general surgery internship at Bellevue Hospital Department of Surgery in New York, followed by a residency in neurological surgery at the New York University Department of Surgery. Expanding his knowledge, he completed a fellowship in spine surgery in minimally invasive surgery at the University of Florida at Gainesville.
